Résumé. – La révision d’une inscription incomplète de Nîmes permet d’étudier la famille des Sammii, connue surtout à la fin du Ier et au début du IIe s. Elle parvient à la plus haute notabilité provinciale mais son importance s’apprécie aussi par un dossier épigraphique romain, qui permet de mesurer les réseaux de relations qu’elle avait noués dans la haute société de la cité de Nîmes, en particulier avec la famille sénatoriale des Aemilii.
Abstract. – The revision of an incomplete inscription from Nîmes makes it possible to study the Sammii family, which is attested most of all at the end of the first and beginning of the second centuries. The family reached the highest levels of the provincial nobility, but its importance can also be appreciated through a series of Roman inscriptions, which allows us to measure the networks of relationships it had established within the upper levels of society in the city of Nîmes, in particular with the senatorial family of the Aemilii.
