Résumé. – Dans cet article, nous essaierons de brosser, dans les grandes lignes, la place que la femme romaine occupait : un lieu marginal, soigneusement contrôlé par l’homme, dans lequel l’activité était réduite au monde domestique. Nous verrons comment les femmes à Rome recevaient une formation méticuleuse qui les préparait aux tâches qui leur étaient assignées par la condition patriarcale, sous les auspices de principes naturels et moraux.
Abstract. – In this paper our endeavor is to retrace the general features of the Roman women´s position, a marginal place under the watchful eye of the man with a scope of activities reduced to the domestic world. We expose how they received an accurate training for the roles they were assigned to by the patriarchal condition that ruled under the natural and moral principles of the Roman World.
