Résumé. – Cette étude d’une épigramme de Cyzique, conservée par l’Anthologie Palatine, s’interroge tout d’abord sur le lieu d’exposition de la pierre, à Cyzique ou à Delphes, avant d’étudier plus avant les informations qu’elle contient. Il apparaît alors qu’en exposant une stylis, c’est-à-dire un ornement de trière, la prestigieuse cité de Propontide met en avant sa puissance maritime, placée sous la tutelle d’Athéna et Apollon.
Abstract. – This study of a Kyzikos epigram, kept by the Anthologia Palatina, first examines the place where the stone was displayed, in Kyzikos or in Delphi, before studying more in depth the information that lies within. It appears that thanks to the exhibition of a stylis, that is to say a trireme ornament, the prestigious city of the Propontic coast highlights its maritime strength, under the protection of Athena and Apollo.
